Avatar A graphical representation of a person or their “alter-ego”. It may be a 3D character in a computer game or the graphic/image associated with the user’s identity on a website, blog, wiki, etc.
Aviary is a suite of web applications which allow you to create, edit and manipulate images. They have also recently launched an audio editing tool called Myna.
Awesome Highlighter Enter a web page address and click “highlight page”, select the text you want to highlight, click “Done” when you’re finished. Simply copy and paste the short URL and post to a web page or email the highlights to students. Each highlight is limited to 2000 characters. This tool DOES NOT work well in Internet Explorer.

      Just before #edcmooc started. It’s an amalgamation of all the lists put together by students on the first course, plus a few of my own. What will suit LDers is I have added a Google form so it can be updated… albeit manually at the current time
